Left in 2016 to build Kinderpedia after spending two months watching his daughter's school manage enrollment from a shared USB drive. Has a background in product management and holds an MBA from ASE Bucharest.

Andreea Matei
Co-founder & CPO
Spent eight years as a primary school teacher in Bucharest before moving into educational technology. Joined Kinderpedia as the first product hire and became co-founder after shaping the core platform from prototype to production. Responsible for all product decisions, customer research, and the school onboarding process. Holds a Master's in Educational Sciences from the University of Bucharest.
Mihai Ilie
CTO
Former senior engineer at UiPath, where he worked on the core automation runtime before it scaled to 10,000 enterprise customers. Joined Kinderpedia in 2019 to rebuild the backend architecture for multi-tenant school data at scale. Led the migration from a monolithic PHP stack to a service-oriented architecture on AWS. Holds a degree in Computer Science from the University Politehnica of Bucharest.
